Did you know Korean peopole eat wakame soup on their birthday? I really don't care what day it is today...that's my bad habit. So I often forget my birthday! either do my sister. One day when I was in Korea, I didn't know that day was my birthday. But I realized soon because my grandmother cooked wakame soup for me in the morning!In Korea, people eat wakame soup in their birthday, so it means the day when they eat wakame soup in the morning indicates that the day their birthday! I think this custom originated from Korean people in the old days ate wakame soup when woman gave birth to a baby.
So, still my mother cooks this for us on our birthday. That's like a traditional thing in Korea. So even though I cannot cook wakame soup by myself, I should be able to cook wakame soup at least, because I wanna prepare wakame soup for my mother on her birthday.
Also as you know, wakame is very healthy seaweed. So I recommend you to eat wakame soup if you are on diet! :) I do like wakame soup because that is the very food which is good and healthy.
